Public pages and what owners can see
What counts the owner of a public page sees, what stays private, and how reports work.
Updated October 11, 2026
What the owner sees
The owner of a public collection or save sees totals only: views, opens, saves, copies, and follows. A public profile shows views. SavedIt never shows who viewed a page.
Views, opens, and visitor counts below 10 show as Fewer than 10. Saves, copies, and follows show the exact number. Your own visits are not counted while you are signed in.
How visitors are counted
To count one visitor once a day, SavedIt turns the visitor's network address and browser into a pseudonym. This is a one-way code made with a secret that changes every day. The address itself is not stored, and yesterday's code cannot be matched to today's.
Raw visit records are kept for 30 days. After that, only daily totals remain. SavedIt may also keep a broad label for where a visit came from, such as Instagram, but not the full web address.
Followers
Only the owner can see the names of people who follow a public collection. The Follow button tells you this before you follow.
Your profile address
Your profile page at saveditapp.com/@handle is off until you turn it on. It needs a display name and a handle first.
- A handle has 3 to 30 letters, numbers, or underscores. Capital letters are saved as lowercase.
- A handle must be unique. Some names are reserved, such as names of SavedIt pages and staff or brand names.
- After your profile has been on, you can change your handle once every 30 days. An old handle is held for you for 90 days.
- Your profile lists only public collections, and you can hide any of them from it.
Sending a save to someone
When you send a save, the page can say Sent by and your first name. This is off unless you turn it on. You can also add a note of up to 280 characters. The note travels with that shared save.
Your private notes are never shown on public pages or in link previews.
Report a public page
Anyone can report a public collection or shared save. You can choose spam, scam, harmful, or other.
SavedIt pauses a page for review only after reports from several established SavedIt accounts. The owner is told the page is under review. The owner is never told who reported it.
