Connect an AI assistant with MCP

Before you connect

SavedIt's MCP connection is experimental. It works with assistants that can connect to a remote MCP server. The server address is https://mcp.saveditapp.com.

Connect with browser sign-in

1. Add https://mcp.saveditapp.com as a remote MCP server in your assistant.
2. Sign in to SavedIt when the browser opens.
3. Review the access the assistant is asking for, then approve the connection.
4. Ask it to list your recent saves to check that the connection works.

Connect with an access key

1. Open SavedIt Settings, then SavedIt MCP.
2. Choose Create access key and give it a name you will recognize.
3. Copy the key when it appears. SavedIt will not show the full key again.
4. Paste it only into the MCP client you want to connect. Do not send it in a chat or support email.

What an assistant can do

Read access can list and search your saves, open saved details, and browse your collections. Write access can also manage saves, manual collections, collection membership, and private collection sharing.

Check a request carefully before approving a delete or sharing action. The assistant acts on the same SavedIt library you use in the app.

Remove access

For an access key, open Settings, SavedIt MCP, choose the key, then select Revoke access. For a browser-authorized connection, remove SavedIt from the connected tools in your assistant. Revoking a SavedIt key stops clients using that key immediately.
